Wounded soldiers practice with wheelchairs

Wounded U.S. soldiers practicing with wheelchairs and crutches at Walter Reed Military Hospital. During many long weeks of treatment, these patients use wheelchairs and crutches until they can learn to walk with artificial limbs. The wheelchair (foreground) is made of light-weight metal and is designed for comfort and ease of handling.
