F-84 Thunderjets in formation

Twelve Air Force F-84 Thunderjets in flight formation. The F-84 in a single-engine, turbo-jet fighter-bomber designed and built by the Republic Aviation Corporation. Powered by an Allison J-35 jet engine rated at 5,000 pounds of thrust, its speed is in the 600 MPH class. It has a service ceiling of over 45,000 feet. It carries rockets and bombs, or napalm, in addition to its six 50-calibre machine guns.
